Client was charged by Butler County Sheriff with Theft in violation of RC 2913.02 a first degree Misdemeanor (M1) for having passed the point of sale with goods at a Kohl’s store. The matter was set for trial and Counsel was able to negotiate a plea to a reduced charge of Unauthorized Use of Property in violation of RC 2913.04(A) a fourth degree Misdemeanor (M4), with only a fine and not probation.
